Christian comedienne and speaker, Rita Morrow continues delighting audiences across the country through her rich blend of comedy, music, and inspiration.
Born and Raised in the Deep South of Mississippi, Rita instinctively draws on her colorful, southern, upbringing whether speaking straight from the heart, or portraying any one of her whimsical, comical characters, not the least of which is the zany but loveable Martha Marie. Truly a character in every sense of the word, Martha Marie dishes out a laugh a minute through her twisted logic and stream of malapropos, as she feels "compulsed to reach out and administer" to those around her through word and song.
Yet even as Martha's creator, Rita firmly believes laughter is sometimes serious business. "With the anxiety and heaviness of the world constantly pressing in on us from every side, I'm certain that pure, heavenly laughter is one of our greatest antidotes as Christians. Not only does it serve to refresh us, but often the ministry of laughter has a unique, painless way of plowing up our hearts in order to receive some deeper seed of Truth from God's rich Word of Life."
Rita makes her home in Amarillo, Texas with her sons and husband Paul of 28 years, all of whom she affectionately refers to as her "three boys and a man."
